My advice would be to be open minded and ready for change. Be as coachable as possible. Listen to what they have to say because the really do want the best for you. Buying into what they are teaching you can only make you better and always be a good teammate by encouraging others and making those around you better.

It is frustrating to learn a new sport but it is always rewarding if you stick to it and work hard and most importantly have fun! We play volleyball to have fun with our friends and never forget that.

One thing that really stood out to me when I was younger was the principle of sacrifice. There are a lot of choices we are faced with when we are younger that may seem trivial, but to be great, you have to sacrifice nights with your friends, dances at your school, going to football games or concerts. You have to be willing to put the work in that no one else is to be better than everyone else. If you do the bare minimum you won’t rise above anyone.

My advice to the girls is to always stay focused and to work hard ALL THE TIME. it’s never about yourself on a team, be willing to play any position for the good of the team. academics come first before your sport!! also, respecting your coaches & be coachable to become a better player & athlete.
